[Review] - Plethora of Masks from Skin18

34
Today’s blog post is a review on a plethora of masks! As anyone who follows my Instagram knows, I’m a proper sheetmask addict! I’m in the one a day club, and even host sheetmask parties with my girl friends to share the love. Yet to convince the other half that he’ll love it, but working on it.

So onto the reviews! There’s two sheetmasks, one eye hydrogel, one lip mask and a nose patch. Just demonstrating how versatile the mask category truly is.
Skin18 kindly sent me all 5 of these masks to review. They have a great selection of products on their website and prices are reasonable. These masks were shipped quickly and packaged well.

Foodaholic 3D Royal Jelly Natural Essence Mask
Royal Jelly Foodaholic Mask

Purchase Here: $1.50 Skin18

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Trehalose, Panthenol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Royal Jelly Extract (0.1%), Honey Extract, Corydalis Ochotensis Extract, Chenopodium Album Flower Extract, Lactuca Indica Extract, Draba Nemorosa Extract, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance.
Looking at the ingredients you can see there’s some notable highlights!
Royal Jelly – Nourishing and good for Anti-Aging
Honey – My love for honey is well documented. Anti-bacterial and moisturising.

What should be pointed out is that this mask also contains Alcohol and Fragrance. So be wary of that.

Review:
Fit - The main differentiating point of this mask is it’s “3D” fit, which purports to offer a better fit for the face. Sadly for me it just made it more awkward to wear, it folds down the face and sticks out and tucks under the chin. It stayed on my face well, but I didn’t feel super comfortable.
Scent & Essence – Light floral scent to the mask, not unpleasant and has undertones of honey. Not much essence on the mask itself though. I like my masks dripping in essence, but for those who prefer a less messy experience this would work.
Effects – Midly hydrating but nothing exciting.
Overall – Not a repurchase for me. If you’re a fan of the 3D fit then this is a good bet, but for me the fit made the whole experience unpleasant.

Four Season Collagen Lifting Wrinkle Care Intensive Mask (Anti-wrinkle Function)
Four Season Wrinkle Care Intensive Sheetmask

Purchase Here: Free! Skin18

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Dipopylene Glycol, Panthenol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Xantham Gum, Carbomer, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract, Hamamellis Viginiana Extract, Tripheyl Trimethicone, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Triethanolamine,Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Illicium Verum Fruit Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Capryly Glycol, Propanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Polyacrytate, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Allantoin,  Ceteth-20, Ceteth-10, Cetearyl alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance

Camelia Sinesis – Green Tea Extract! Love this ingredient, and am happy to see it here. Anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial.
Portulaca Olarecea Extract – I don’t have many products with this in so was interested to find out that it has anti-inflammatory properties

Note that there’s alcohol and fragrance in this mask.

Review:
Fit – Thin mask, slightly difficult to unfurl but fit well on my face after a few adjustments.
Scent & Essence – Light floral scent to the mask but sadly not of purin as the image suggests. Nicely soaked in essence, there was enough for me to massage in ater 30 minutes of wearing
Effects – Hydrating. I am lucky enough to not have wrinkles yet so can’t comment on the wrinkle combatting ability!
Overall – Would repurchase this. It’s a good basic daily use mask, that won’t break the bank!

Luke Charcoal Nose Cleansing Strip and Luke Hydrogel Eye Patch for Eye Puffiness (Purple)
Luke Hydrogel

Purchase here:
Nose Strip - $0.65 Skin 18
Hydrogel - $1.40 Skin 18

Review:
Not much to say on the nose strip. It’s effective as nose strips go, but I’ve never found a difference between most brands! Something to keep in mind is that you can damage your pores if you use these too much. So limit the amount of times you use them. Even if they’re super fun to use!
Eye hydrogels aregreat though. I love eye hydrogels as the skin underneath your eye is more delicate and sometimes requires extra pampering. These ones were a good fit, but didn’t have as much essence as I’d have liked for an under-eye hydrogel. My skin was slightly brighter, but I’ve had other hydrogels such as SNP which had a better effect. For the pricepoint though I would repurchase for special occasions.

Review:
This was my favourite product out of the 5 I was sent! I’d seen these online but never had the courage to pull the trigger on them.
The first step is the exfoliating step. Gently rub the lip shaped sheet over your lips. While this wasn’t as exfoliating as my usual sugar scrub my lips did feel softer after use.
The second step is the hilarious gel lip mask step! It looks like you have Kylie Jenner-esque giant lips. Sadly you can’t talk or drink while wearing this. On the positive side it makes for a great snapchat.
The final and third step is the hydrating step this was a thick honey essence. Which was slightly too sticky for my tastes. And being a perennial lip licker, it was soon off my lips.
I had a lot of fun using this three step masking kit. And while it didn’t plump up my lips it did add some much needed hydration. Would be a fun one to do with friends/relatives!

Triple Masking with the Luke Masks and the Holika Holika Hydrogel!
And that’s my review of the 5 different masks I got sent! Any of them catch your eye?

Love Sophie
